If you are thinking of visiting Cornwall for the first time or returning once again, then the Discover Cornwall Screensaver is a must. There are two other options included on the disk one with captions but without music and the other without music or captions. We created the CD in this manner to ensure that at least one option will run on almost any PC.

Storm Story
This is a dynamic slide show on DVD designed for viewing on TV and PC. Storm Story was inspired by the great storm of 89 and subsequent storms. It starts with a tranquil day and ends in the same way with the images depicting the approach arrival and and passing of the storm.

The images are supported by a descriptive poem story line and music by Medwyn Goodall making this both exiting and relaxing at the same time. All the images are local to Porthleven and the surrounding countryside.

One customer said "When I started to watch Storm Story I was feeling quite stressed. By the time it had finished I was totally relaxed". If you like spectacular images and relaxing music, you will not be disappointed in this presentation.

Porthleven is situated on the route of the Coastal Path. There are interesting walks around the area including Penrose Park, which has a large fresh water lake.

Porthleven is the UK's most southerly working port. It is ideal as a base for a holiday. Cornwall's attractions can be visited from here and at the end of the day you can return to the friendly atmosphere of the village with its picturesque harbour.
The village remains unspoilt by progress. It is easy to soak up the atmosphere of the old Cornish Cultures by viewing the buildings around the harbour relating to the historic use of the harbour.

Artists love Porthleven. Some of their work is displayed in local shops.
Porthleven has a few resident artists who display their work in the local art gallery.
Sports facilities include tennis, football, cricket, bowling and snooker clubs.
A play area for children is situated close to the centre of the village.
Porthleven has its own Supermarket and Off license.

The photo above depicts Porthleven's harbour on a quiet summers evening whilst the picture below shows the most popular event of the year which is LIFEBOAT DAY. This is a family fun day organised by locals to raise funds for the saving of life at sea. Side shows, rides and displays are available.
Porthleven Lifeboat day 2007 - Sunday 29th July 2007. Thank you for helping us raise over £11,000 in 2006. Family day out from 1pm onwards. Due to the state of the tides, this years Lifeboat day will commence at 13.00 hours - not at its usual time of 10:00.
