Location:
Porthleven is a pretty unspoilt fishing village situated approx 3 miles from the market town of Helston, which has a large range of shops (including an out of town Tesco), restaurants, public houses, sports centre and boating lake. Its biggest tourist attraction is 'Flambards' Theme Park and is also famous for its Floral Dance in early May.

The Lizard Peninsula has something to offer for all ages. The beaches are arguably the best in the country both for swimming and surfing; the coastal walks are breathtaking, especially in early May when the wild flowers are at their best. Lizard Point, the most southerly point of Great Britain, with its spectacular cliffs, is only 4 miles away. Also within easy reach are the Helford River, Falmouth with its newly opened National Maritime Museum, St Michael's Mount, Penzance - day trips to the Scilly Isles by boat or helicopter - Lands End and St Ives with the Tate Gallery a must for modern art lovers. Whilst you are in Cornwall please go to The Eden Project at St Austell - don't miss it - you won't be disappointed.
As you would guess, this area has many excellent sea food restaurants and there is a particularly good one in Porthleven, down by the harbour.

Accommodation:
7 Thomas Street is a mid-terrace 19th century original fisherman's stone cottage situated in the heart of Porthleven village, approximately 200 yards from the harbour.
The accommodation is situated on three levels comprising beamed lounge on first floor with stone fireplace and multifuel stove, night storage heater, TV, video and comfortable double sofa-bed. A steep staircase (mind your head!) leads down to a large well-equipped all electric kitchen with fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble-drier and iron. Leading from the kitchen is a modern bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, washbasin, airing cupboard and heater. The two bedrooms are on the second floor, comprising one double-bedded room and one single with bunk beds.

General Information:
We are open all year round for long or short stays. This is the ideal spot for a self-catering holiday and is only 2 hours from Exeter.

Summer bookings will normally be from Saturday to Saturday.
Long weekend bookings are also available out of season.
All bed linen and bedding (including duvets) and teacloths are supplied, but not towels.
Electricity is included in the price.
